This tutorial was written for those that have a working knowledge of PSP. Supplies Needed: PSP X (any version will work) Tube of choice I used artwork by Marjolein Gulinski. To use this artwork please visit MPT Scrap kit of choice - I used Fairy Floss Scrap papers of choice - you can get by with using flood fill tool Frame of choice Decorative elements of choice Flowers of choice Leaves of choice Butterflies of choice Bow of choice Doodle of choice Font of choice Everything used in this tutorial except for the tube is from the kit called Fairy Floss by me. It can be found HERE Ok let's get started... Open 600 x 600 canvas. Open frame of choice. Copy and paste as a new layer. Resize as needed. Rotate 30 degrees to the left. Click inside the middle with your magic wand. Modify, expand x5. Open scrap paper of choice. Copy and paste as a new layer. Resize as needed. Selections invert delete. Selections none. Move this layer directly below the frame layer. Click back on the frame layer. Selections all, float, defloat. Modify expand x4. Open a different scrap paper of choice. A darker colour then the frame would work well here. Copy and paste as a new layer. Resize as needed. Selections invert delete. Selections none. Move this directly beneath the frame layer, on top of the filled middle layer. Add a soft dropshadow of choice to this layer. Merge the three layers visible when happy with placement of layers. Duplicate this layer. Hide the duplicated layer. Click on the oringal layer. Resize 50% or whatever you like. Mirror. Now arrange at the upper left corner. see my tag as example) When happy duplicate this layer. Mirror and flip. Arrange it on the opposite bottom right corner.(again see my tag as example) Unhide the top layer. Tweak the positions of the frames underneath as needed. When happy click back on the top layer. Open doodle of choice. Copy and paste as a new layer. Resize as needed. Arrange as you are happy. I removed one of the swirls and moved it around the tag as I wanted. Again play around as you are happy. If you do this merge the doodle layers visible. Selection all, float, defloat. Modify expand x4. New layer. Floodfill within the expanded layer. Selections none when done and move this directly below the doodle layer. Add a soft drop shadow of choice to the floodfilled layer. Open tube of choice. Copy and paste as a new layer. Resize as needed. Arrange how you want it to look on the frame. Add a drop shadow of choice when happy. Open decorative elements of choice. I used the cherry blossoms in the kit. Copy and paste as a new layer. Resize as needed. Continue to do this til you are happy with what you have added. Add a soft drop shadow of choice here. Open flowers of choice. Copy and paste each as a new layer. Resize as needed. Arrange as happy on the bottom left hand corner. I did it in such a way it covered the end of the blossom sticks. Add a soft drop shadow of choice to each flower layer you add. Open leave(s) of choice. Copy and paste as a new layer. Place this layer below all three flowers. I kept duplicating, flipping, mirroring, arranging leaves behind each of the flowers I used. When happy merge visible all the leave layers. Then add a soft drop shadow of choice. Open bow of choice. Copy and paste as a new layer. Resize as needed. Arrange in the bottom left corner of your tag.(see my tag as example) Add a soft drop shadow of choice when happy. Open butterflies of choice. Copy and paste each as a new layer. Resize as needed. Now decorate your tube, background you name it with how you want it to look. When happy add a soft dropshadow of choice. Add your text where you are happy. Add drop shadow of choice. Apply any appropriate copyright information. Save as a jpeg or png and you're done. |
