This tutorial was written for those that have a working knowledge of PSP. Supplies Needed: PSP X (any version will work) Tube of your choice I used artwork by Elias Chatzoudis . To use this artwork please visit My Psp Tubes Scrap kit of choice - I used Strawberry Parfait by me Scrap paper(s) of choice Flower with stem of choice Flowers of choice Circle doodles of choice Buttons of choice Decorative elements of choice - butterfly, candy Font of choice The scrapkit I used was called Strawberry Parfait by me. It can be found HERE or HERE Ok let's get started... Open 650x650 canvas. Take your selection tool. Set it to rectangle. To the right of your canvas draw a longish up and down rectangle. Open scrap paper of choice. Copy and paste as a new layer. Resize as needed. Selections invert, delete. Selections none. (If you want an idea look at my tag, mine is filled with stripey paper) Add a soft drop shadow of choice. Add a new layer. Take your selection tool again. Leaving it on the rectangle setting. Draw a fairly chunky in size wide rectangle. Open paper of choice. Copy and paste as a new layer. Resize as needed. Selections invert, delete. Selections none. Now you can go ahead and arrange as you wish. You can see mine as an example. I kind of formed almost a side ways T. Add a soft drop shadow of choice. Open flower of choice. Copy and paste as a new layer. Resize as needed. I used one with a long stem on it but you can improvise as needed. Arrange it so that it is to the side of the long rectangle. Add a drop shadow of choice. New layer. Take your selection tool again. Leaving it on the rectangle setting. Draw another chunky rectangle but make it smaller then the first.(see my tag as example) Fill this color with what you want your frame color to be. Selections none. Again now rearrange how you want it to go on the canvas. You want it sort of to the top and almost centered on the bigger chuny rectangle. And you want the flower head to be above the top of it with the stem (if it has one) to be coming underneath it. With your selection tool draw two smaller rectangles inside the rectangle you just made. Delete. Selections none. You should now be left with a makeshift frame. Click inside both openings with your magic wand. Selections all float, defloat. Open another scrap paper of choice, or simply add a new layer and fill with a color of choice. With the scrap paper choice. Copy and paste as a new layer. Resize as needed. Selections invert delete. Selections none. Move this layer directly beneath the frame layer. Click back on the frame layer. Add a soft drop shadow of choice. Open tube of choice. Copy and paste as a new layer. Resize as needed. Arrange how you like inside on of the squares within the frame. Remove any excess hanging out of the frame; you want it to look like it is coming from the frame. When happy add a drop shadow of choice. Open candy decorative element of choice. Copy and paste as a new layer. Resize as needed. Arrange in the opposite square inside the frame. Remove any excess hanging below the frame if need be. Add a drop shaodw of choice when happy. New layer. Set your selection tool to circle. Draw a circle not too too big. Fill with a complimenting color of choice. Arrange it to the side of the middle of the frame you created.(see my tag as example) Duplicated and continue to do so until you have a line going across the tag. Merge these circle layers visible. Move beneath the frame layer so they are peeking out from the frame sort of thing. Add a soft drop shadow of choice when happy. Add a new layer and draw another circle, same as before but make it a little smaller. Fill with a different color of choice. Arrange as you want just around the canvas. Do this a few times, each time working on a new layer and alternating the sizes. When happy add a drop shadow of choice to each. Open a button of choice. Copy and paste as needed. Arrange within a circle you made. Repeat this process with another button decorating the tag as you wish. (see my tag as example) Add a drop shadow of choice to each button layer you add. Open decorative flowers of choice. Copy and paste each as a new layer. Arrange as happy. I placed mine by the stem that was coming out from the frame. When happy add a drop shadow of choice. Open circle doodles of choice. Copy and paste as a new layer. Resize as needed. Arrange at the top of the frame, almost filling a gap. Send layer to the bottom when happy. Add a drop shadow of choice. Repeat this process only making the second one smaller and fit it some how within the first. Again send to the bottom. Add a drop shadow to this layer as well. Repeat both process again for the bottom doodles. Open decorative butterfly of choice. Copy and paste as a new layer. Resize as needed. Arrange wherever you wish it to go. Add a drop shadow of choice when happy. New layer. Choose a color that would go well with your tag and spray paint around the tag. When happy apply guassian blur 45. Send to the bottom. Arrange as you want it to look peeking out from the tag. Click back to the top layer. Add your text where you are happy now. Apply any appropriate copyright information. Merge all layers together. Save as a png and you're done. |
