This tutorial was written for those that have a working knowledge of PSP. Supplies Needed: PSP X (any version will work) Tube of your choice I used artwork by Suzanne Woolcott. To use this artwork please visit AMI Scrapkit by Kirsty: PrettyDirtyPirate Font of your choice I am using: Blackadder ITC The scrapkit I used was called PrettyDirtyPirate by Kirsty. It can be found HERE Ok let's get started... Open a new canvas 600 x 600, flood fill with white. Open and resize frame 1, copy and paste into your canvas as a new layer, and rotate, 90 degrees. Open a paper of your choice for the sky, with your magic wand select the middle part of the frame, selection, Modify, expand by 5 add a new layer move down, and fill with the paper, colorize to a light blue color, you can add some clouds if you like. Open the Boat, resize, copy and paste into your canvas and move to the middle of your frame, add the pirate flag if you like. For the waves: Open any paper of your choice, back on your canvas, select the boat layer, Image, canvas sixe increase the wide of the canvas to 750, change on left o, we need just the right part to be wide, this is just temporary, with your magic wand set to rectangle draw a large rectangle on the middle of your canvas but not to high, about 720 w x 425 h, add a new layer and fill with the paper you want for the water, and fill the selection, deselect, colorize the paper to a dark blue, and move down your tag to show just like if is the water. On the same layer: Effects, Distortion Effects, Wave, with this settings: Horizontal displacement, Amplitude 0 wavelength 1, Vertical displacement, Amplitude 2, wavelength 40, Edge mode, transparent, ok. Duplicate this layer now and go to Effects, Image effects, Offset, with these settings: Horizontal offset -20, Vertical offset 0, Custom and transparent checked, and apply, you will see the wave has move to the left a little bit, that is what we wanted, you can move with your mouse as well, but this will prevent any jumping, duplicate this layer and apply the Offset again same settings, continue doing this until the other side is almost finished, remember you have to see all the way of the waves at the middle of the frame, I had to make this 6 times, so you ended up with 7 waves layers, once done with your magic wand click inside the frame again, Modify by 5, invert the selection, go to your waves layers one by one and hit delete, to get rid of the excess. Deselect. Select your frame layer add a new layer and open the gold gliter paper, do the same wave we made before with the wave effect, but this won’t be animated. Now this is for you, have fun decorating your tag, they are so many lovely things to do that with the kit, is up to you to make it personal. Add the word art if you wish and your name. Do not forget to give to all the layers a soft shadow of your choice as well. Crop your tag. Add the copyright. Animation. Lock the visibility of all your waves layers, but the first one Copy Merge and open AS, paste as a New Animation, back in psp, lock the visibility of your first wave layer, open the second wave layer Copy Merge, back to AS paste after current frame, continue with this until you have all your frames in AS. Once all the frames are done in psp, change the frame properties to 15, and save as a gif. If your tag is jumping delete the first frame. |
